President Obama organizes global climate change meeting
Posted by Danger on March 29th, 2009 filed in Climate/EnvironmentThe Obama administration has organized a series of meetings with the E.U. and 16 other nations. These meetings will focus on the creation of an international climate change policy.
The meetings, are to be held in Washington in April and in La Maddalena, Italy, in July.
The participants, who include Chinese and Indian representatives, will also try to create “concrete initiatives and joint ventures that increase the supply of clean energy while cutting greenhouse gas emissions,” according to a White House news release.
The talks, called the Major Economies Meetings on Energy Security and Climate Change, echo in name and goals an initiative begun in the last two years of the Bush administration.

For all of our sake we can only hope this is one of those things he’s not lieing about. However I feel that it’s not just within their responsibility or power. Everyone has to be on the same page with this. Yeah they can go on and on about what they should do but what we as a world are going to do is another story.. Let’s keep our fingers crossed though shall we?
