10 Reasons GAY MARRIAGE is WRONG.

Posted by Danger on November 8th, 2009 filed in AMERICA - FUCK YEAH!, Feed your head

1] Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2] Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3] Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

4] Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5] Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6] Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile straight couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs more children.

7] Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8] Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion in America.

9] Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10] Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to the internet, wi-fi, women wearing pants, bi-racial marriage, working women, homogenized milk, GPS units, mobile phones, and MP3 players.

    hahaha.
    Brilliant.
I’m going to repost this everywhere.

  2. Lily Strange Says:

I also love the arguments that some people make that allowing gay marriage would then encourage incestuous marriage and pedophilia. But yet instances of pedophilia and desire to marry close relatives have not increased in Vermont. Hmmmm…

  3. Some fool Says:

I love the seethe in this sarcasm. Burns like a steam-pipe about to burst. What really gets me is that anti-equality people use these very arguments as if they’re logical and valid. Stupid butt-weeds.

Number [6] is my personal favorite.

  4. Hayley (keeton-13) Says:

i love this. its so true and it makes me chuckle also because of the sarcasm, sounds like me having a rant, love it! so true NO:(7) is the one that seems to come up alot, if oyur gay and have a child they will also be gay! :@ wtf c’mon people, grow up, please.

  5. Tinkypoo Says:

  6. Jergens Says:

I’ve seen this posted elsewhere, and it’s kinda funny.

Although, one of them repeats. Clean it up.

  7. L3V1 Says:

thats great so true..and wtf is wrong with America so much bullshit happens here but two people who love each other are frowned upon by government and society..wow!

  8. ClovenSkull Says:

America seems like a land of the corrupt, god-fearing, religious zealots, power junkies and a few people who possess something akin to good-sense and an understanding of the meaning of the word Equality.

I sincerely hope that the balance shifts more towards that last one.

  9. Erishkagal Says:

The main part about the battle for legalizing gay marriage is that some people think that being gay is a choice you conciously make because you’re a “pervert”, when in real life you’re born being gay. This fight would not be happening if people understood that it’s not a choice and there is no “cure” or way to “pray the gay away”. Thats what really frustrates me.

  10. MorrigainMillimeter Says:

What, ClovenSkull, haven’t you heard? This isn’t REALLY separation of church and state (even though there’s actually no Christian religion basis-other than mistranslation-against gay marriage in the Bible.) Hell, no. America’s all about protecting God-fearing, righteous, Heavenbound souls from heathens, hellish feminists, vile gays, wanton whores, devilworshipping pagans (never mind that that, in itself, is an oxymoron) and disgusting human-rights activists. Oh, yes. These are the principles that our great nation was founded upon, are they not?

People sometimes forget that “separation from church and state” MEANS “separation from church and state.” It is non-negotiable. I don’t shove my religion on you, keep yours the hell away from my Constitution, bitch.

  11. Kimmmm Says:

    WORD.

    This is so true.
And yet, sad, because it will make no more of a difference than all of our voices put together. :/

  12. Spike Ghost Says:

someone would need to go on a show like The View where a LOT of people watch, and recite these exact same words :O it would open people’s eyes

  13. Mr. P Says:

    this is the best

i love point 2 especially, because my 4″9 friend hasn’t yet grown as a result of hanging around my 6″5 body

  14. Anonymouse Says:

Stop! Stop! The logic is too much!
    XD

Awesome post. You never cease to amaze.

  15. Xaphiris Says:

I think people should be allowed to do what they want in this sense, but this list is just retarded. I appreciate what you’re trying to do but I think you’d have a much better point if you kept certain standards of quality to your writings and transcriptions.

Firstly, points 2 and 7 seem to be totally ignorant of the fact that a person’s sexuality is heavily based on imprinting and upbringing, among other things. You can’t dismiss that.

And secondly, points 3 and 10 are exactly the same, with difference being brought only in the examples given. This brings the list to just nine points. But seriously, it’s not hard to come up for another argument for gay marriage. Here’s a couple:

Gay people would make lousy parents as people who adopt are clearly irresponsible and unfit for parenting, compared to people who keep unwanted babies and take little measure to prevent their conception.

Gay people will raise their children to be strictly gay, as gay people are clearly against sexual liberty and freedom of choice.

  16. OTEP Says:

Xaphiris. I know you think you know what you’re rambling about, but I assure you — you don’t.

Being STRAIGHT has nothing to do with your upbringing. Neither does being GAY. Sexuality is not a choice unless you are bi-sexual & even then, the choice is which side of the plate you want to feed from, so to speak.

There is no valid argument to make with regards to Gay parents. Most Gay people are raised in STRAIGHT households.

Likewise, there is no valid argument against Gay Marriage. Valid being the key word here. The Declaration of Independence does not have an asterisk, or a footnote, that denotes who is to be treated equally. It is simple bigotry and religious intolerance and stupidity that allows the majority to rationalize their fear and hate. But, many of us have committed ourselves to bringing equality to this country – a fight is a fight – regardless if it’s simple, ends quickly, is complex, or takes forever.

I just realized, is this from Tyler Oakley’s video? or did he just read the same thing last year?

  18. Janie Lee, M.Ed. Says:

I honest to God don’t care who is Gay and who isn’t, that is up to them, I do care profoundly about them thinking that they are better to adopt a child or that they think or believe that they should take a child away from its own parents so that they can have it and raise it. It bothers me that they have never had their own children and then want others, Angelina Jolie is very wrong, very rich, and very liked, not scrutinized, it would be a blessing to many just to get to go in her home. Do you honestly think anyone is going to say anything bad about her besides her real movie critics? I think she is hot, sexy, and she knows it and flaunts it and that is one of the ways she got rich, not being smart, not being talented, not being a good mother. If someone were to come to take her child that she had born do you think she would then say that gay people are better at raising it than she is, I don’t. Perhaps she might? I think if she loved it she would be saying why did you take my baby, and why don’t you give it back or calling it kidnapp which is exactly what it is.

That’s hilarious lol. Some republican says that allowing gay marriage will make people want to marry animals.
